Black Country Children’s Services Improvement Partnership (BCCSIP), part of the University of Wolverhampton successfully managed the Black Country Creative Partnerships programme and has embedded this work as a key tool for school improvement.
Through the Creative Partnerships programme, schools have invested significantly in creative teaching and learning and for many schools this is now integral to how they work, rather than simply being part of an ‘add on’ project.
Although the Creative Partnerships programme has now ceased, our ‘Creative Solutions’ Offer enables schools to access the same level of professional development services, consultancy support and partnership with high quality practitioners.
Creative Solutions builds on our track record for outstanding creative teaching and learning programmes and incorporates the work of some of the region’s leading arts and cultural organisations, practitioners and education specialists. From April 2012 Arts Council England will be funding a network of ten Bridge Organisations to help meet its goal of ensuring every child and young person has the opportunity to experience the richness of the arts and culture. Chosen for our experience and expertise in this field, BCCSIP has been selected by Arts Council England to be the Bridge Organisation for the West Midlands region, to help create a more coherent and focused arts and cultural offer for children and young people, schools and communities.
